As of last month, all new solar connections are required to provide evidence that the inverter was installed correctly using the mandated 'Australian A’ settings as per the Australian standards introduced in December 2021. However, only 30% of solar connection requests received have included a valid document.
What is a valid commissioning document - please provide one of the following
- Downloaded Commissioning Sheet via the inverter manufacturer’s App or Portal used to commission the system
- Photo evidence of the solar app/portal showing that the inverter is set to “Australian A” and the serial number and or address so we can identify the property
- Or photo evidence of the inverter screen with “Australian A” settings and serial number
Each Manufacturer will have their own app or portal and the process may vary depending on the make/model of your inverter. If you require assistance on how to obtain your commissioning document verifying the “Australian A” settings, please reach out to your respective Inverter manufacturer.
Invalid Documentation that will not be accepted include:
- PV Commission checklist
- Handwritten commission checklist/reports
- Handwritten declaration advising compliant
- Clean Energy Council forms
- User manuals
